Commissioners recognize October 2026 as Manufacturing Month

During its monthly meeting on Monday night, the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners voted to recognize October 2026 as Manufacturing Month. 

The resolution reads: 

WHEREAS, manufacturing is an important part of Beaufort County's economy, providing quality jobs, supporting local businesses, and contributing to the County's tax base; and

WHEREAS, Beaufort County is home to a diverse manufacturing sector, including marine and boat building, air filtration, metal fabrication, machinery, and advanced manufacturing; and

WHEREAS, our manufacturers and their employees contribute greatly to the

economic strength of our community through their continued investment, innovation, and hard work; and

WHEREAS, Manufacturing Month provides an opportunity to recognize our existing industries and highlight the many career opportunities available in modern manufacturing; and

WHEREAS, Beaufort County remains committed to supporting the continued growth and success of our existing manufacturers and welcoming new manufacturing investment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners hereby recognizes October 2026 as Manufacturing Month in Beaufort County and expresses its appreciation to our manufacturers and their employees for their contributions to Beaufort County.
